Rococo chocolates take 2

so I got the praline quail eggs. They were good and looked like real quails eggs. the lady let me try some chocs such as the lime and sesame as well as the seagulls eggs which have caramel in them but my bf ate it all before i could even take a bite of the seagull egg. The lime and sesame was unusal. I did in the shop try rasberry and yogurt chocolate which was delish as well as a passionfruit one. all in all I love this place and I think you should go try it out.

Napket

I love this place with its chandeliers and its decor. Its very romantic with its candles. Its also very sophisticated. No wonder its called "Napket. Snob food". I had a Frapket which was blended ice and cream. The vanilla one was yum and a black bottom brioche. All the pastries looked nice. I will definetly come back here. I went to the one near the ritz. I think this one is a great location. Great to go after shopping in bond street.

Julie and Julia

So I watched the movie Julie and Julia and I loved it. Its a great movie for a lazy sunday and it is all about the love of food. After watching it I do really want to buy Julia childs The mastering the art of french cooking. Id like to learn more french cooking. You have to check this movie out or read the book julie and julia. You do learn a lot about cooking and the gordon bleu which really makes me even more interested in taking a cooking course.

Hotel chocolat

The best place to indulge in chocolate is hotel chocolat. I love their chocolates and they are not too pricey. You can buy six chocolates for about 3.50. I just love their praline chocolates. I love the one in Bristol because you can sit in there and order things such as hot chocolates, coffees or chocolate fondues. I used to buy a coffee and drink it with their chocolates. Its situated in Bristols Cabot Circus so its the best place to relax after a long day of shopping. Only problem is the lack of seats so when one comes free you have to run for it.They make great gifts to and they always do seasonal chocolates.

Cat and the cream cupcakes

So since im on a mission to try cupcakes from ever producer I thought id go to St catherines docks to buy some Cat and the cream cupcakes from their market stall. They do a lot of unusual flavors such as rasberry, almond and ricotta as well as the usual oreo cupcakes and red velvet. I went for a blueberry cupcake as well as an oreo. They were nice but i prefered the buttercup cupcakes. But they were really nice cupcakes and they were presented well. Maybe I should try the more crazier flavors next time. Next Im going to have to try cookie girl cookies and cupcakes.

strawberries and cream tea?

I keep checking out this website http://www.mycupoft.co.uk/

Im in love with a packaging. Yes I am a sucker for cute packaging. But the teas themself look like they could be good tea. especially if you want to try something new. The have kids teas that have flavors such as strawberries and cream as well as apple and custard. Its one of those they could be good or bad. They sell the teas at harrods but not the flavors I want so I guess I will be making an order online.

Rococo chocolates

So ive been eyeing up rococo chocolates for awhile so today in my lunch break I am going to go and buy the praline quils eggs so share with my bf. I love going to chocolate shops so I cant wait. I hope they melt in your mouth like they say they do. But you should check out the rococo chocolates at

They have a wide selection of chocolates. and if your looking for an easter gift they have plenty of cute treats.

American diner

So if your feeling like going to an american diner style place for food I can recommend two places Ive been in London.

Tinseltown

If your looking for film star pictures as decor and ice cream milkshakes here is the place to go. You can get ferrero rocha milkshakes and beuno milkshakes. There is a huge variety of desserts and the gold old burger. This was fun to go with my little sister and my younger coursins.Definetly a family place.

All star Lanes

If you want american food as well as bowling then this is a great place to go. Bowling isnt cheap here but you dont have to bowl. Theres great american food and desserts such as mississippi mud pie and sundaes. Food again theres burgers and the usual american food. Theres one in Holborn and bayswater. You should definetly check it out. They also serve alcoholic drinks here. Its a fun place to go with friends.

Souk medina

Do you want belly dancers, morrocan food and alcohol? Then go to Souk Medina in covent garden. I went there for a friends birthday and had a great time. If your going there for a drink and want a light snack then you can get platters of morrocan food. Its a fun place to go with friends and its all morrocan themed. The drinks aren't too expensive and its a good location. You forget your in london when your here.

Plant pot chips

Isnt that just a cool idea. A terracotta flowerput with newspaper filled with chips. Well thats what you get when you order food at the Thyme cafe in sheffield. Its a sweet little cafe that seems to always pop up in food guides when talking about sheffield. While I was at uni in sheffield I never went there but since my BF is still a student there I got to go and I loved it. The food is good. You can have burgers, mussels etc. But the best part is the chips. Its quite an institution for the people who live around there. If your in sheffield then this is the place to eat. It may not look pretty on the outside but don't judge a book by its cover.

Edinburgh

So where to go in Edinburgh. Its a beautiful city so what better way to enjoy it than with good food. There are three restaurants I would recommend that I went to while I was there.

The witchery
Its all strange and medieval but its a popular place to go. Its near edinburgh castle. And theres some story of the death of witches associated with it. I had rabbit there and it was very tasty but to be honest it felt kind of creepy so I wasnt amazed. But because of all the hype yoy should check it and make your own mind.

The balmoral hotel
Its a beautiful restaurant. Great for food and great for drinks. we went for both and I loved the palm court. I would love to stay at this hotel next time Im in Edinburgh.

The scotsman
I love this place. The food was good and I loved the look of the restaurant. You can eat on blaconys where you can see the bar below. I really enjoyed this place. Everyone should go.But be sure to book a table in advance to get on on the blacony.

A bit of the sea in london

If your wanting some seafood. You could head to the chain Loch fyne oysters and seafood restaurant. Its a chain which is you want a good priced place for seafood then go here. Theres one in convent garden which I went to and I really enjoyed the food. They also have an amaaaaaaazing Sticky toffee pudding. I shared it with two other people because we were all full but i could have had more

Pizza anyone?

What if you could have a pizza with toppings from all over the world. You can now with fire and stone. You can have toppings from every continent. Its pretty good value and the pizzas are pretty tasty. They are not too greasy. Theres a few in london but I think the best one to go to is the one in covent garden. There are usually lunchtime offers available as well.

Bar with a view

If you want a bar with a view then go to Skylon. Its in the south bank. Its very nice inside and the drinks are really good. The mixologist is amazing in there. If your a whisky drinker (which I'm not) there are some really good aged whiskys. They also caramalise the sugar in front of you and put a lot of effort into some amazing cocktails. They also explains what goes into the drink which I found very interesting. My bf enjoyed the whiskys and cognacs while I had my girly cocktails. It is a sophisticated place to go in the evening. They also give you nice little nuts and sun dried tomato chips as a snack which was great with your drink. It is in a lot of the best bar lists so it has a reputation for having good cocktails.I will definetly be going here again and again.

My favourite restaurant

The waterside inn has to be my all time favorite restaurant.I love everything about it. I went there for my birthday with my BF. I can totally understand why it has 3 michelin stars and why I don't mind how expensive it is. It is definetly in a league of its own and definetly making a trip to Bray to go there. It is situated in Bray which is beautiful. and yes it is one of two best restaurants in the country situated in Bray. I adore the Roux brothers and what they have achieved in the food industry so I had to go to the waterside inn. The service is amazing, the food is a piece of art and the flavors are too good to put into words. From start to finish it was the most amazing experience. The restaurant itself is beautiful and like the name says its near the waterside so you see little ducks outside. You honestly don't have to do anything when you come to this restaurant, They park your car, they serve everything to you. All you do is enjoy the food and the atmosphere. The warning is after going here other foods just don't compare. It makes you so critical of food because I honestly think only other 3 michelin starred restaurants can compare.

Hestons feasts is back

I am so excited. Hestons feast is back for a second season on channel four. This time he will be doing a chocolate feast inspired by willie wonker and a fairy tale feast inspired by hansel and gretel, snow white etc. There will also be a gothic feast with frankenstein. It starts in April and I am so excited. I really can't wait. I loved the last season especially the edible utensils. I love Heston and my number one to go list restaurant is The fat duck. Anyway when the show begins I will be writing a lot more about it.

Medival banquet

Want to go and do something different in london. Then go to the medieval banquet. Its a themed restaurant with entertainment. Its all dark inside and all the hosts are dressed in costumes. You can hire costumes to join in. There is a four course banquet.and drinks are free all night. The food wasnt so good. In fact I hated it. No flavor, watered down wine. I couldn't eat even a quarter of the food. But then again I knew the food would be bad. I went for the experience. You get shows with knights and henry the eighth makes an appearance. Theres dancing and singing. It was memorable. I loved wearing the costume because I got to pretend I was in medival times. Since Im little I had to wear the kids costume but there are costumes for different shapes and sizes. You would need to go as a big group here or it won't be fun especially since the food is awful.

Dim T

In Dim T you can get all kinds of oriental food. From Dim sum to pad thai. I went again for a work do. We got a variety and shared. It was nice food but wasnt amazing. But the desserts now thats what Im talking about. I shared a white chocolate cheesecake and a brownie bento box with a work college and it was pure indulgence. The bento box brownie came with ice cream with was so too good for words. The restaurant itself has a great view of tower bridge and its darkly lit inside. Its another place good to go as a group.

Busaba Eathai

So want some thai food. Then go to one of these chains. They do noodle dishes, dishes liked grilled swordfish, monkfish green curry. The food is very tasty. I went there for my work christmas party and it is great for large groups. They even sell american soda Boylans which I fell in love with in new york. Its not too expensive as its similar to wagamamas and ping pong. Definetly a great place to go with a large group of friends and have a great time.

Bettys tea house

If your ever in York or Harrogate its a must. Even if you go just for that. You want to go somewhere that reminds you of victorian times and the art of drinking tea then go here. The cakes are so nice. Best to have afternoon tea. Also they are famous for their fat rascal scones. They are proberly the best scones I have had.

Surrey

The Wotten Hatch
This is my bf local. and I love it. Its in some nice countryside. it has a nice fireplace and its very relaxed. The food is pub food but better quality than somewhere with greasy gross food like weatherspoons. Its great to meet people here and you can sit by the fire for long time whether its drinking a beer or a latte.

Another place to go in surrey where the place is nice and relaxed for a drink is The Running horses. I have only had a drink there but from the looks of it the food looks good so have to check it out next time.

The Landau

So for my birthday I went to The Landau with my Girlfriends. I love this hotel and I love the inside of this restaurant. After our meal we got some chocolates to share which is always nice. This hotel is pretty. I hear that its nice to have afternoon tea here

Umu

so some say Nobu is the best Japanese restaurant in london while others say Nobu. Ive only been to the Nobu in new york so I cant compare Umu to the london Nobu. Umu was a japanese experience. Think gold leaf cherry blossom ice cream and little beautifully presented dishes. Everything has had a lot of effort put into it. Inside its dark and has a geisha house kind of look. It is the only Kyoto style restaurant in London. I loved the presentation of the food and the look of the restaurant. Was I amazed by the taste of the food? No.maybe its because Im used to more western japanese. Im not sure. For the price I wasn't too impressed but it was an experience.

The Ritz

OK since I was a little girl I knew about the ritz.I think most people know what The ritz is. Its a place you go to feel like royalty.Everything is so elegant and theres a lot of history. Its a place to dress up smart and feel like your in another time. Whether your having afternoon tea or dinner you are sure to be amazed by the experience. If I could go to the ritz everyday I would. Everything was so beauiful. The presentation of the food was stunning. The food also tasted very good and I could see a lot of effort had gone into making every dish. I also love the after dinner tea and petit fours. Everything is so perfect in there which makes you want to act perfect. Its not a place you go to relax, its a place you go to experience the english ettiquite.

Gordon Ramseys at Claridges

I know its lost is michelin star but its still a good restaurant to go to.One of the reasons is its in Claridges and Claridges is one of the most stunning hotels in london. Another reason is its a Gordon ramseys restaurant. I went when it still had the michelin star and its sad that its lost it.But im not surprised because when I went i heard it was likely to lose it. The food is good food. Presented nicely. The type of food is modern european. I would like to go again to see if there is any change in the quality of the food. When I went there i really liked it but since then ive been to some amazing restaurants which has made me forget what I even had to eat there which tells me its not a memorable restaurant. But they did give me a little birthday cake.

Daphnes

Another caprice holdings group restaurant. I thought after le caprice I should try out daphnes. Its Italian food. The interior has lots of plants and trees. we got to sit near the fire place which made it cosy and perfect for christmas. The food was good italian food and the wine was good. For all of you non drinkers you can have shirley temples here. Its a very romantic restaurant and its situated in south kensington so you can go to shops like chanel on your way. I love the area its situated and I love the atmosphere in and around the restaurant. I will definetly be returning.

Le caprice

I love love love. The inside reminds me of being in New york and the food is so so good. I had the venison there and loved it. The honeycomb ice cream dessert is amazing too. I have amazing memories here. I went close to christmas 2 years ago and i absolutely loved it. It is definetly my fave out of the caprice holdings group. Its actually a nice place to go as a couple or as a group of friends. I also think its a great location and I love the doorman with the bowler hat.and the service is great.

The Ivy

So the Ivy is one of the most hardest places to get a table. Everyone wants to go there. And everyone whos anyone is there. So of course I had to go. What can I say. The people and atmosphere was good. But the food was a big disappointment. In fact my bf left most of his pan fried fois gras which was such a waste. I had their recommended bang bang chicken for starters and did not like it. Then I had their fish and chips again recommended and popular. It wasnt amazing. The dessert of frozen berries and white chocolate sauce was just frozen berries with melted white chocolate.Again wasnt rocket science. The only thing that was nice was my bf scallops. It was really nice. All in all the food wasnt great but if you want to go there for the atmosphere and to see why everyone loves it then go check it out. I think id rather go to Le Caprice next time.

Itsu

Itsu is good for quick sushi and if your on a diet. Its low calorie and tasty. Of course its not the best sushi in london but its good takeway food and good for a quick lunch. The only problem is because its low cal my bf got hungry and low on energy quick. So to be full you need to eat a lot of sushi there. I wouldnt recommend the noodle soups there as it lacked flavour because it was too watery. we wanted more a hot noodle dish instead of soup. Theres an itsu everywhere in london. They also do frozen yogurt but I havent tried it yet so I cannot say how it is. I think if want sushi next time ill go to other places. But if im near and feeling lazy I might go back.

Train stop snack

So at the train station and you need a snack. Ive been to two cafes I like.one is delice de france and the other is le pain le quindien. Delice de france does quick takeway pastries and their chocolate chip loaf was so good. I was going to my family home on the train from kings cross and was so tired and hungry after work and that did the trick. I was able to relax and read on the train. Le pain le quindien is again good to meet friends at the train station at lonon st pancreas. Their coffees are served in bowls and they have many cakes. I had their cheesecake but it did make me feel it because it was too big and also it had that lemon taste.but my friend had a waffle and it looked and smelt really good. So if you need a quick snack when your at kings cross go to one of these.
